Powder Coating

We have over 2000 colours available for your project. The colour you choose can be painted or sprayed onto metals, wood and plastics. Let us know if you would like a sample of your colour choice.

Need to Use It Fast? – Choose a Powder Coating

When wet painting or spraying there is always the long wait afterward for the item to dry or there is the case that the equipment that is being wet painted cannot be out of action for a long time – meaning this course of treatment is simply not the one for you. When powder coating an object, you do not need to worry about any of that. It cures quickly and then the object is able to be used straight away. With an outstanding finish and resistance to all kinds of weather, what more could you want? You will be spoilt for choice, as it is available in fluorescent, metallic and sparkly effects. Antibacterial coatings are also available for medical uses.

Powder can be cured at temperatures ranging from 170˚C to 220˚C, making finishes very durable. Powder can also protect against sun, rain, snow and salt, if applied with expertly prepared surfaces using the latest pre-treatments.

Ranges of Colours & Finishes

With endless possibilities, a few varieties are:

  • BS and RAL in most sheens, matt, satin, and gloss.
  • Textures – fine textures. Leatherette, Mudcrack and Hammer finishes available in most colours.
  • Fluorescent – yellow, orange, green & pink.
  • Metallic and special effects.
  • Pearls and sparkle effects to name a few.
  • Anti-bacterial powders used in hospitals and care homes etc.

How Is the Powder Applied?

Our advanced powder coating process involves the application of electrostatically charged powder using state-of-the-art Nordson guns. With the aid of air, the charged powder is precisely transferred to the pre-treated component, ensuring a uniform coating on corners, edges, and even inside boxes. To achieve a consistent and flawless finish, the coated products are carefully placed in our spacious online oven for baking. This controlled baking process guarantees the creation of a uniform film, eliminating any potential “hot spots” that could lead to uneven colour distribution.

Using our wealth of experience with different powder providers, we choose the right powder for each product.

Knowing a powder’s limitations, as well as its benefits, is one of the reasons Impact Coatings is so successful.

Impact Coatings have the ability to coat anything from one-off items to much larger projects like complete shop fits. Please see our Gallery section for some examples of our work.
